How document generation, missing-placeholder warnings, and the DocuSign signing process work in Eldison.
This article outlines the processes and features for document management within the Eldison platform.
Documents are created when a process is saved to draft state and regenerated automatically after edits, during publishing, and manually when needed. They are generated from DOCX templates containing placeholders that are replaced with corresponding values (e.g., participant.name becomes "John Doe").
The platform highlights missing placeholder values in yellow within documents. A warning sign appears in the process detail listing all missing placeholders, and a confirmation dialog prompts operators to review and fill in missing information before publishing.
Operators can regenerate documents from the process detail view without editing the entire process. An "Update" option is available in the context menu for documents with placeholders in draft state, saving time and minimizing errors.
Documents requiring signatures are managed via the DocuSign service. After publishing, emails are sent to signing parties with unique DocuSign links. Once finalized with signatures, documents display on the Eldison platform.
The platform includes an option to resend documents for signature, sending two types of notifications: an explanatory email from Eldison and a resend command from DocuSign. This helps when participants forget to sign or lose the original email link.
These features aim to make document management tasks more efficient and error-free.
