Senior Associate – Employment Law (Prague)

Excited about tech and startups? At Eldison, we provide employment law support to founders, management teams and HR leads at technology companies, startups and scale-ups. We help our clients build, manage and protect their teams, from day-to-day HR documentation to complex, cross-border employment matters. We've advised Bloomreach on the transfer of employees in the UK and Germany following its acquisition of Exponea, supported a top global scale-up expanding to 19 countries through the engagement of an EOR/PEO, set up ESOP schemes for companies such as Velaris, CloudTalk, Graphaware and Mews across jurisdictions including CZ, the US, UK and Netherlands, and helped Bloomreach and Mews set up whistleblowing processes across their EU entities.

Your focus

Your tasks

‍

  • Draft, review and manage standard documentation for employees and contractors (employment agreements, contractor agreements, internal policies)
  • Lead the new hires & leavers process end-to-end
  • Advise on employee transfers and  setups for international teams
  • Design and implement commission and bonus schemes
  • Advise on employee equity and incentive plans and support their implementation.
  • Set up and advise on whistleblowing processes and related compliance
  • Provide day-to-day employment law support to tech startups and scale-ups
  • Communicate directly with clients, HR teams and counterparties
  • Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with senior lawyers on complex, cross-border and regulatory topics

Our expectations

‍

We are looking for an experienced employment lawyer who can independently lead employment matters, advise clients directly and take ownership of the practice's day-to-day agenda.

‍

  • Qualified attorney (advokát/ka), admitted to the Czech Bar Association
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in employment law (law firm or in-house)
  • Ability to independently manage client relationships
  • Experience with cross-border employment matters, employee transfers and EOR/PEO setup is a strong advantage
  • Experience designing commission and bonus schemes
  • Experience advising on employee equity and incentive plans is a strong advantageFamiliarity with whistleblowing compliance and setting up internal reporting processes
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues
  • Czech/Slovak and English proficiency
